Celebrating 25 years of consecrated life as a Sister of the Holy Cross

Sister Lotika Gomes, CSC, who currently serves as assistant at Holy Cross Students’ Hostel, Tejgaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh, will be honored on July 15, 2018, during a jubilee celebration in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at Saint Mary’s, Notre Dame, Indiana.
Sister Lotika served for eight years in education and parish ministry at Neerala Convent, Kulaura, Moulvibazar District, Bangladesh. She also shared her gifts as headmistress at Nirmola Education Center, Kulaura, Moulvibazar, and St. Patrick Junior High School, Khagrachari Hill District, Chittagong, Bangladesh, and as a teacher at Notre Dame Junior High School, Srimangal, Moulvibazar. She has served in her current role since 2015.
Sister Lotika was born in Kamalapur, Dhaka. She earned her certificate of science from Habibullah Bahar University College, Shantinagar, Dhaka.
She also graduated with her Bachelor of Science from Government Brojomohun College, Barisal, Bangladesh.
Sister Lotika earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Teachers Training College and a Master of Business Administration from Northern University, Dhaka. She also pursued theology studies at Jnanodaya Dharmaram College, Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Sister Lotika made her initial profession of vows on June 3, 1994, and her perpetual profession on September 30, 2000.
