Celebrating 25 years of consecrated life as a Sister of the Holy Cross

Sister Nita Rozario, CSC, who currently serves with the Archdiocese of Chittagong as chair of the Health Care Commission, Chittagong, Bangladesh, will be honored on July 15, 2018, during a jubilee celebration in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at Saint Mary’s, Notre Dame, Indiana, for her 25 years of consecrated life as a Sister of the Holy Cross.
Sister Nita has served for 25 years in various health care, hostel ministry and parish ministry roles with Neerala Convent, Kulaura, Moulvibazar District, Bangladesh; Corpus Christi Church, Jalchatra, Madhupur, Tangail, Bangladesh; and the Archdiocese of Chittagong.
For eight years, she served as pastoral animator of Father Boudreau’s Medical Centre, Patharghata, Chittagong, Bangladesh. She also worked as a staff nurse at Kumudini Nursing School, Mirzapur, Tangail. Sister Nita has served in her current role with the Health Care Commission since 2007.
Sister Nita was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She graduated from Adamjee Cantonment College, Dhaka. She also studied at Kumudini Nursing School, Tangail, and at Jnanodaya Dharmaram College, Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Sister Nita made her initial profession of vows on December 10, 1993, and her perpetual profession on September 30, 2000.
