Celebrating 25 years of consecrated life as a Sister of the Holy Cross

Sister Bashona Rebeiro, CSC, who currently serves as a teacher at Holy Cross College, a girls’ high school in Tejgaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh, will be honored on July 15, 2018, during a jubilee celebration in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at Saint Mary’s, Notre Dame, Indiana, for her 25 years of consecrated life as a Sister of the Holy Cross.
Sister Bashona taught at Urban School in Barisal, Bangladesh, and at Neerala Convent, Kulaura, Moulvibazar District, Bangladesh, where she also served in pastoral ministry. She also provided pastoral care at Corpus Christi Convent, Jalchatra, Madhupur, Tangail, Bangladesh. Sister Bashona has served in her current role with Holy Cross College since 2005 and concurrently works in various capacities with Tejgaon Parish, participating on the parish council, liturgy committee and in pastoral ministry.
Sister Bashona was born in the village of Rangamatia, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She pursued general studies at Holy Cross College, Dhaka, and theology studies at Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Sister Bashona made her initial profession of vows on June 3, 1994, and her perpetual profession on September 22, 2001.
