Sisters celebrate 2019 Jubilee at Saint Mary’s

Area of North America sisters celebrating 75, 60 and 50 years of vowed life in Holy Cross were honored June 23-24 during the Area of North America local jubilee celebration at Saint Mary’s, Notre Dame, Indiana. Sisters and guests gathered for the June 23 jubilee Mass, where celebrated sisters were recognized for their milestone anniversaries and their lifelong commitments to serving God’s people. Following Mass, jubilarians, sisters, family and friends enjoyed an anniversary dinner in the Augusta Dining Room. On June 24, jubilarians continued their celebration with Sisters, Inc., staff and volunteers during a reception in Lillie O’Grady Center.

Nine diamond jubilarians living at Saint Mary’s were honored: Sisters M. Carmen (Davy), M. St. Brigid (Bromeling) and Sister M. Georgia (Costin) celebrated 75 years of vowed life; Sisters Linda Bellemore, M. Elena (Malits), Florence Mary (May), Karen Anne Jackson, Mary Ellen McGlynn and Ellen Mary (Taylor) were 60-year celebrants. A golden jubilarian, Sister Helene Sharp was honored for 50 years of vowed life in Holy Cross.
