My vocational journey

The lives of Saint Francis of Assisi and Mother Teresa of Calcutta touched me deeply as I began my vocational journey. Because of the power of these models, I had a desire to follow Jesus more closely.

As time passed this desire led me to the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross. Today these sisters are for me a sign of God’s action in the world. They have invited me to experience and share in the mature and coherent vision of the charism of Holy Cross.

May the spirit of the founder, Father Moreau, enter into my life to help me develop Holy Cross spirituality and the ability to live out the Congregation’s mission of justice, compassion and love.

Sister Vanessa resides in São Paulo, Brazil.
