Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick, archbishop emeritus of Washington, D.C.,
gave Communion to the faithful. Sister Geraldine M. Hoyler, general treasurer
of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, receives from the cardinal. Beth McPherson (right),
a former member of Holy Cross, returns to her place. Many lay people who are
either presently or formerly involved with the ministries of Holy Cross made the
journey to France, witnessing to the enormous influence of Holy Cross across the world.
