The symbols of the three branches of the Holy Cross family were presented
at the prayer service held on September 14, 2007, in the Church of Notre-Dame
de Sainte-Croix. Beginning on the left is a silver heart, the symbol worn by the Sisters
of the Holy Cross; second is the missionary cross, which is symbolic of the work
of the priests in preaching the missions; and third is the medal of St. Joseph, the
patron chosen by Father Moreau, which represents the brothers of Holy Cross.
