Over 500 Holy Cross religious and many local parishioners and friends
gathered outside St. Augustine’s, Father Moreau’s parish church in
Laigné-en-Belin, France, for a special tribute to him as the founder of the
congregations of Holy Cross. A plaque honoring Father Moreau was mounted
on a pillar at the entrance to the church and was unveiled at the ceremony.
