The Sisters of the Holy Cross are grateful to Thomas F. McHugh in whose memory this hallway was designed.  Thomas and his eight siblings, and most of his nieces and nephews, graduated from St. Paul the Apostle School in Manhattan, New York, sometime between 1910 and the 1960s.  They all express their indebtedness "to the wonderful Sisters of the Holy Cross who taught them and are grateful for the excellent education they received."  They remember the sisters fondly.  Thomas died on December 28, 2004, at the age of 86 and left a legacy to the sisters in his will.
