José Eduardo
Three-year-old José Eduardo, who was born with muscular dystrophy, receives help from the Ministry With the Poor/CSC Fund.

CSC Fund lends assistance

The parents of 3-year-old José Eduardo came to see Sister Patricia Anne Clossey and parish social worker Rosalinda Sanchez for help. José is an adorable little boy in Monterrey, Mexico, with special needs; he was born with muscular dystrophy and a learning disability. José has been receiving physical therapy for about two years.

José’s father works as a bus driver on a local line that runs near the parish. José’s mother is a stay-at-home mom, who also cares for their 14-month-old daughter, Adrianna. José needed medicine and a special walker to improve his leg muscles and to help him get around. Both were too costly for the family.

With the assistance of the Ministry With the Poor/CSC Fund, the walker and the needed medications were purchased. José’s motor skills are now improving, which gives the family hope that José will continue to make progress.

The Ministry With the Poor/CSC Fund contributes to the ministries of Holy Cross sisters around the world, especially those assisting women and children. Every donation is used to support the projects of the sisters. It certainly has made a big difference in the life of little José.
