Pope Francis spends time with Family of Holy Cross in Bangladesh

During his visit to Bangladesh November 30-December 2, 2017, Pope Francis spent time with the Family of Holy Cross, visiting some of their ministry sites.

The Sisters of the Holy Cross established a permanent mission in Bengal (now Bangladesh) in 1927. In 1950 they founded Holy Cross College and Holy Cross Girls High School in Dhaka, two of the most highly rated schools in the country. Today, Holy Cross sisters serve the Bangladeshi people through education, health care, parish and social service ministries.
