Sisters of the Holy Cross Leadership Team
The Leadership Team was elected in July 2009 during the congregation’s Twenty-fourth General Chapter at Saint Mary’s and officially installed on September 27, 2009.
Sister Joan Marie Steadman, President
Sister Joan Marie served on the Leadership Team for 10 years (from 1994 to 2004). She has been involved in both education and health care, and has served as the associate director of healthcare ethics at Santa Clara University in California. A San Jose, California, native, Sister Joan Marie entered the congregation in 1962.
Sister Mary Louise Full, First Councilor
Sister Mary Louise, from Washington, D.C., served on the previous Leadership Team as general secretary. A high school teacher and principal, she also has been involved in retreat, pastoral and parish ministry. She entered the congregation in 1960.
Sister Geraldine Hoyler, General Treasurer
A native of Evergreen Park, Illinois, Sister Geraldine, who entered the congregation in 1963, also served on the previous Leadership Team as general treasurer. She has ministered in various healthcare financial and treasury positions throughout her career.
Sister Sharlet Ann Wagner, General Secretary
Sister Sharlet, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, entered the congregation in 1988. An immigration lawyer, she has been the director of the immigration department for Holy Cross Ministries in Salt Lake City, Utah, for the past several years.
Sister Angela Golapi Palma, Councilor
Sister Golapi was elected by the Leadership Team to fill the vacancy on the General Council following Sister Philomena Quiah’s death in July 2012. Sister Golapi is from Pabna, Bangladesh, and entered the congregation in 1987. She serves as the formation coordinator for the Area of Asia and assists at Brother Andre High School in Noakhali, Bangladesh.
