Green Initiatives

Sisters of the Holy Cross and employees at Saint Mary’s are committed to green living and to working collaboratively to make Saint Mary’s campus a fully sustainable organization.

The Nutrition Services Department is reducing consumption, reusing and sharing resources, and disposing its food waste in an environmentally friendly manner. Check out its kitchen composter, which after nine hours reduces food waste to a valuable soil amendment.
